We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with a brand that has changed the game for men’s (and now women’s) underwear in Australia and the UK. These guys sell a pair of undies approximately every 15 seconds - and let’s face it, underwear is something people wear everyday!


Chances are you’ve seen them in your Facebook feed or your TV screens, showcasing everyday blokes who LOVE their undies. If you guessed Step One, then you’d be right!


They’re looking for a high-level, experienced Marketing Director to help scale the business internationally. You’ll be part of growing their internal team, building on the already established great brand and driving performance across all marketing channels.

The Role: 

  • Drive sales growth in current and new markets (international expansion anyone?)

  • Grow revenue in line with set budgets.

  • Have an eye for eCom-led ads that don't just look pretty…they SELL products.

  • Oversee all aspects of marketing. From strategy to content & creativity, performance media and analytics.

  • Constantly look for ways to improve Step One's marketing strategy, including launching new marketing channels, optimisation, campaigns, creative concepts and innovation.

  • Oversee and support the day-to-day operations of the marketing, digital & creative team (5 direct reports)

  • Drive performance across paid digital channels and work closely with the performance marketer on budget allocation, optimizations and opportunities.

  • Guide the creative team on new concepts and engaging content (that sells loads of undies!).

  • Build out a team of A+ marketers. Develop their skills and facilitate their growth within the business.

  • Report on daily global sales and ad spend daily, providing feedback and working on solutions with your team where needed. Be nimble and react to changing market conditions.

About You: 

  • You’ve got experience managing over $20M in advertising budgets across TV and Digital. 

  • You’ve got BIG energy, an enormously creative mind and an immense appreciation for the social world. You will be familiar with the various social channels and know what it takes to cut through with great content in a busy market.

  • You’re a seasoned marketer and have a proven track record of driving sales growth in an eCommerce business.

  • You’re hands-on and have experience and understanding of digital and traditional marketing channels.

  • You’ve got a solid understanding of most major ad platforms and the ability to report on the effectiveness of each channel. 

  • You’re all about customer retention and building loyalty. You have experience with email marketing and SMS (experience with loyalty programs highly regarded).

  • You’re a creative thinker and love coming up with new and innovative creative concepts.

  • You’ve led a team of superstars and are experienced in hiring, training and developing a team.

Bonus Points If..

  • You have experience building a brand in the US or UK or other international markets 

  • You have experience with Amazon and other marketplaces

  • You’ve worked for a high-growth biz
